This week I chatted with Alan, from our Sales Team in Wanaka. Alan often sends me information about what’s happening around Wanaka to share with Owners on social media, so I knew he would be be a great person to give us the inside tips on the beautiful town of Wanaka! How long have you lived in Wanaka? We moved here in Feb of 2013 from Lake Tahoe/Reno area which is very similar. Lake Tahoe is half in Nevada half […]
You guys, our WorldMarkSP Owners are a talented bunch! As a member of the judging panel for Resort Reporter Port Douglas competition I can attest to the fact that there were many entries that made us all, collectively gasp! There’s not enough room to highlight them all for you, but I thought I’d share a couple of those great entries with you here. Candy and Nick shared 5 gorgeous photos of Wanaka, just like this one. Over the last two years we have spend the winter holiday in wonderful Wanaka. These two weeks were truly memorable. The ski slopes were something else. My son enjoyed seeing his father attempt to follow him down the ‘black run’ of Captains Peak. The Wyndham property at Wanaka was amazing. The warm spa bath after a day on the slopes to soothe the tired muscles was just what was needed. There were also a whole lot of activities to do […]
My last Worldmark trip was to Wyndham vacation resorts Wanaka, staying in the 3 bedroom presidential suite, the last trip before that was to 3 bedroom apartment at the Kirra Beach Resort. Both times, from the moment I walked in I was instantly and thoroughly impressed with the presentation and layout of the apartments, especially in the presidential suite at Wanaka, the spa bath, fireplace, and large entertaining and dining areas were gorgeous. My last trip was primarily for skiing, […]
As the plane descended through the Southern Alps, I caught my first glimpse of the magical landscape that inspired Lord of the Rings. Day one involved too small ski boots and my first ski lesson at Cardrona. The day was perfect and the aches and pains were soothed by the outdoor hot tub. Hubby and I perfected the sprint to the room… in the snow …with no shoes. Our journey to Milford Sound included a snowball fight on the side […]
Do you know which WorldMark resorts were deemed excellent by TripAdvisor travellers? Better question – how many of these resorts have you holidayed in? A bit of background before we get to the good stuff: four WyndhamAP resorts were delighted to receive the very prestigious TripAdvisor Certificates of Excellence, awarded to the top 10% of businesses worldwide. That’s right – in the world! These resorts have consistently earned high ratings from TripAdvisor travellers, and, frankly, we couldn’t have been prouder. […]
I’m not usually a fan of cold weather – I find myself constantly repeating the phrase ‘it’s freezing’ during the winter months. It’s quite chilly already here on the Gold Coast, and this year I’ve decided to embrace the cold and find lots of reasons to enjoy the cold.
Who’s taking a holiday over Easter? Here in the South Pacific, it’s a lovely time of year to take that extra long weekend – great swimming weather in many parts, yet not so hot that you melt when you’re not swimming! There is always lots of things to see and do. Here’s a round up of some of the things you might find around some of your WorldMarkSP resort locations this Easter.
