Today it’s time to soak up as much of Fiji as we can because this afternoon we sadly have to go home. It feels like we’ve been here for ages and the staff have definitely treated us like we have. They all greet us by our names and treat us like we’re long lost friends. I’m going to miss saying Bula all day.
While all of the staff are wonderful as they always are in every Wyndham resort we’ve stayed in, there are a few who made our stay extra special. Timoci at reception greeted us the day we arrived and lit up every time he saw us. Look out for him when you visit and you know he’ll take care of everything you ask for. Also look out for Teresia in Mamacita’s and hopefully you’ll also run into Rachel from housekeeping. She’s worked there nine years and was great company at the opening celebration with so many stories about living in Nadi.
The activities organised by the club for us were amazing and we’re so grateful. But even if we were to just come and stay at the resort for the five days, we would have been happy. There’s so much to do and see. We didn’t even have to travel to get some homemade souvenirs.
Plus there’s so much room. Sometimes you go to water parks and pools and all the deck chairs and good spots are taken. Here there’s hundreds of great spots around the pools, on the beach, on the new balconies. I’d suggest trying the kava cocktail on the beach bean bags at the new Kava Bar. Back it up with a massage at the spa and you’ll have some idea how I felt!
I hope you’ve had as much fun reading about our incredible holiday as I’ve had writing about. All I can say is book now because even though there’s so many more rooms at Wyndham Denarau Island now with the new extension, I bet they book out pretty quickly!
Thank you to our club for this once in a lifetime opportunity. We feel so lucky and grateful. You’ve done a fantastic job at the resort with the stage 3 opening and we’ll definitely be back with a long line of friends and family in tow, I’m sure.
Vinaka (thank you) and moce (goodbye).
