Resort Reporter Fiji #24 – Anaheim, Orange County, Los Angeles

Touch down after the long flight, feelings of exhaustion overcome by excitement to be here after a long year planning this trip of a lifetime.  Jumped in the car to drive the highway jungle out to Anaheim, stopping at a humongous shopping mall on the way – all the big high street brands. Eight hours later (the shopping is amazing!!) arrived at Dolphins Cove to be greeted with friendly smiles and genuine interest of plans for our stay. Opened the door to our apartment, spacious, clean and BOOM the skyline was alight with fireworks from Disneyland. The magic had begun.

Hollywood here we come. Drove the west coast pacific highway, stopping at beaches along the way. Laguna Beach, Long Beach, Newport Coast. Miles of sand glistening in the sunshine. Found the Hollywood walk of fame. Spotted John Travolta, Michael Jackson, Felicity Huffman, The Simpsons and many others on our way to the TCL Chinese Theatre where the hand and footprints of celebrities are set in concrete slabs. Madame Tussard’s welcomed us to mingle with the stars. After a long day of star spotting, our next door neighbour, Denny, fed and watered us before calling it a night.

Disneyland is the most magical place on Earth. Rides, characters, laughter, lights, music, fireworks, world of colour. Words just cannot do it justice. For two days, we were lost in the magical world of Disney.

A day at Dolphins Cove chillaxing and preparing to continue our journey. Washing made easy with the use of the communal laundry. Swimming in the pool and relaxing poolside with a good book before an evening meal prepared by the resort for all owners to mingle and enjoy.

To be continued….
