Resort Reporter Fiji #62 – Coffs Harbour Adventure

We have only officially been Worldmark owners since May so this was our first trip as owners. With my husband and our two-year-old little girl, we were excited for a fun getaway to Coffs Harbour.

We spent the first day of our vacation driving from Brisbane to Coffs Harbour. Arriving in the afternoon we were welcomed with an introduction to the Treetops resort from staff. After getting settled in our contemporary and spacious 1 bedroom apartment, we enjoyed a delicious meal at Charlie’s Restaurant next door at the Novotel Pacific Bay Resort.

We started the day chatting with the Worldmark staff, Bobby, who told us about upgrades and how to most effectively use our points. Even though we were not ready to upgrade yet, the staff were polite and not pushy, and the information they provided was quite helpful, offering suggestions about the holidays that would best suit our family. We then headed to the Butterfly House, which was perfect for our daughter. The afternoon was spent exploring the grounds, of Resort where the Worldmark resort is located, including the beach and the playground, both just a short stroll from the apartment. We even spotted a Kangaroo out for an evening graze.

We spent a fun day at the Pet Porpoise Pool. The whole family enjoyed getting up close with the dolphins and sea lions. Our daughter was excited to receive a kiss on the cheek from both a dolphin and a seal! In the afternoon we enjoyed a coffee while Abigail played at a children’s fun centre, Tabatinga. After dinner, we borrowed a movie from reception and snuggled up and enjoyed some popcorn.

We started the day visiting the Big Banana. Our daughter tried a delicious frozen chocolate-covered banana and then got a thrill on the toboggan. We also spent time playing at the resort playground and had a swim in the heated pool.

Our last day in Coffs Harbour was spent visiting the Honey place just south of Coffs. It was a lovely and sweet building which had delicious honey to try and our daughter loved viewing the working bee hive. We really enjoyed our time at Treetops, the staff were great and there was so much to do.
