Resort Reporter Port Douglas #86 – WorldMark Canmore

Worldmark Canmore-Banff in the Canadian Rockies: a destination you will not want to miss!

Our family holiday to Canada would not have been complete without a visit to the spectacular Rocky Mountains. The highly recommended Icefields Parkway through the mountains between Jasper and Canmore revealed breathtaking scenery around each corner, including native wildlife such as deer and elk. A photographer’s paradise! There was the Athabasca glacier as well as spectacular Lake Louise. We spent some family time skating on the frozen lake, carefully weaving around the castle sculpted out of ice!

The resort, situated amongst the snow-laden trees was picture perfect! The staff and guests were all very accommodating and our apartment was comfy and cosy. Each evening we enjoyed the outdoor heated pool and spa. It was a surreal experience, reclining in a spa with snow falling on your head!

On this holiday we experienced skiing, snow-tubing, dog sledding, ice walks, shopping and museums. We also tasted the local cuisine: bison burgers, elk steaks, Cows ice cream and the famous Beaver Tails!

Visiting Worldmark Canmore-Banff helped build lifelong memories with our three children. It was an experience none of us will ever forget!
