Resort Reporter Port Douglas #85 – A Love Story: Coffs Harbour

Nestled between high mountain ranges and unspoilt beaches, attention nature lovers, you will get your fix here!

It all began for us with a love story whilst holidaying at the stunning Treetops Resort last year.

After a short flight, we settled into our well-appointed apartment and were greeted by a friendly Kookaburra on our private balcony!

The next day, after taking a leisurely walk through the manicured gardens, we strolled on to the secluded Charlesworth Bay Beach.

A few hours of sunloving fun, we headed up around the headland by boardwalk (pause here and you are greeted with specular costal views!) to stunning Diggers Beach.

It was a beautiful sunset and whilst I was taking photos of the breathtaking view, my man dropped to one knee and proposed!  A year on, we recently returned for a destination wedding with family and friends.

Tip: Take a day trip to Dorrigo and prepare for the jaw-dropping beauty of pre-historic rainforests and beautiful waterfall walks. Your lungs will thank you.

Along the way, take a pit stop at the arty township of Bellingen and immerse yourself in its café culture.

For a delicious meal out, don’t forget to delight your taste buds at award-winning (Sydney good food guide) Fiasco Ristorante & Bar.

And this is how my love affair with Coffs Harbour began!
