Resort Reporter Port Douglas #69 – Tasmania

“It’s time for us to use some Worldmark points, where shall we go this time?” my husband asked. I exclaimed, “Somewhere warm!”. “But I’d like to go to Tasmania, there is so much to see and do there!” said my husband. I relented and thought ‘ Ok, but I personally think that it will be boring there!’

So the Worldmark booking for ourselves and our daughter and her husband for a 2 bedroom apartment on the Seven Mile Beach in Hobart went ahead.

In Tasmania we needed a car and being a Worldmark ‘Privileges’ member gave us  $100 off the cost of car hire. A fantastic saving!

Our beautiful apartment was very spacious, We all loved it.

My negative thoughts of there not being much to see and do, soon became crowded out with, ‘I had absolutely no idea there was so much to enjoy!’ And the weather was warmer than our hometown.

We enjoyed mostly day trips to the Freycinet Peninsula, Port Arthur, Cradle Mountain, Mount Wellington, and also Brunie Island, just to name a few.

Our Photos show only some of the beautiful places we visited and we are thrilled that we were able to experience this pleasure.
