Resort Reporter Port Douglas #37 – Denarau Island

My wife and I recently went for a week away at the Worldmark Denarau Island, Fiji resort and it has to be one of the best holidays I have been on in years. If you are after a holiday where you can just turn off your brain and totally relax then you have to give the Worldmark Denarau Island resort a try.

The staff are all extremely friendly and eager to help answer any questions. There is an onsite travel agent that can arrange any tour you want to take. I highly recommend taking a tour out to one of the small islands like Treasure or Castaway Island, they have that amazing white sand and crystal clear blue water you see in all the brochures.

The rooms are extremely nice and are setup like small apartments with full kitchen, dining table, lounge etc… and the resort has a small shop where you can buy food to cook in the room if you don’t want to go out every night which can be extremely expensive if you have kids.

The resort has a Mexican restaurant onsite which is quite nice and holds the honour of being the only Mexican restaurant in all of Fiji. We ate there a few times as it is well priced and has a very nice atmosphere.

By far our favourite part of the resort has to be the swim up bar pool, a nice big pool with a swim up bar that makes some great cocktails at good prices. They also have the spa situated right next to the pool and our usual routine turned into a few hours in the pool with some drinks followed by a 1 hour massage by the pool.
