Resort Reporter Port Douglas #28 – Dunsborough

Mid 2012 we booked a weekend in the Dunsbourgh resort through one of the promotions Wyndham had advertised for three nights which we expanded to five nights.  The Promotion also included a massage and dinner for two.  We had a great time consisting of wine tours, chocolate tours, food tours and whale watching.

The weather was lovely. Out whale watching experience was an enjoyable day out. The skipper had no problem locating the humpback whales, which happily came over to say gidday. They put on a great display for all passengers on board, however we were not really sure who was observing whom. A few dolphins came over to play with the whales, which caused great excitement.  Next, we joined up with one of the local wine tours. The wine flowed freely from the local vineyards and some even tasted good enough to drink and buy, Happs winery was gooood!!!

Too much good chocolate, ice cream and fudge from the local shops around Margret River and Cowaramup. The local cuisine was a tasty treat and the exceptional culinary skills from the Dounsborough Wyndham resort’s restaurant. The gnocchi recipe from the chef’s Nonna was exceptional.  Our holiday was finished up by a relaxing massage to work out any knots the weekend had missed.

Looking forward to our next holiday destination.
