1. Vivid Sydney 2013

Watching a laser light show transform the sails of the Sydney Opera House into a colourful masterpiece is certainly a memorable way to spend the evening. You can do so every night from 6pm-midnight at the stunning Vivid Aquatique Show between 24 May – 10 June 2013 as part of Vivid Sydney Festival. Plus, for the first time ever, Sydney Harbour Bridge has been invited to the party as one of the iconic city structures set for a metamorphosis courtesy of cutting-edge tech. A festival of light, music and ideas? Be there or be square!

A dream for chocaholics, at the Cadbury Chocolate Carnival you can learn to paint with chocolate, relax with a chocolate facial, visit the factory and, best of all, be a spectator to the famous Cadbury Jaffa Race! Baldwin Street, the steepest in the world, becomes a race track for 25 000 numbered Giant Jaffas (chocolate orange balls). Purchase a charity ticket and cross your fingers – your Giant Jaffa might win the race!

World-renowned chefs making meals you’ll want to fly over from the mainland for, cooking master classes and a Red Wine Weekend – all this and more, from 29 May – 2 June 2013.
