Jamie, Hendrix and I went to Wyndham Coffs Harbour for a quick getaway last weekend. Despite the rain, wind and flooding, it was a really pleasant stay! Whenever I have the pleasure of visiting a WorldMarkSP resort, I try to look out for the positives and the improvements that could potentially be made from an Owner’s perspective. I found lots of positives at the Resort – here’s my top 4.
1. The Team – they were genuinely pleasant and helpful. For instance, as I sat beside the pool on Sunday morning (there was a 20 minute window of sunshine!), I observed one of the maintenance team thoughtfully turn off and pull out the ‘creepy crawly’ that was slightly impeding 2 guests who were swimming laps. They let him know they weren’t bothered by it, however he simply said it was no trouble and he’d put it back on once they’d finished. They seemed pleased, and I was also pleased to see our Count on Me service culture in action. It’s those thoughtful acts that make a difference.
2. The Colour Scheme – We stayed in a standard, 2 Bedroom apartment. It was fresh, comfortable and well equipped. I really liked the decor. It was lots of light, bright greens. Not my usual style – but I think the green affected my mood in a positive way. I felt very calm, very relaxed and slept very soundly. The friendly staff let me have a peek at the Grand apartments too. The one I saw had pink tones. Very nice!
3. The ‘Incidental Views – And what I mean by incidental is the views you find, when you’re not expecting one. I’ll let my camera do the talking on this one.
4. The Bath – It’s big enough for one! It was just the right size for me to fill up without feeling a nagging guilt about water conservation. So I got my quiet, alone time, and even though the bath itself lasted only 20 minutes, I’m still feeling the last of the serenity now.
So that’s my Top 4 features at Wyndham Coffs Harbour. If you asked Jamie, he’d tell you his favourite part was the fact that there were enough utensils to cook a good meal. For Hendrix it was the pool (of course) and the fact that the second bedroom had the right type of coat hangers that allowed him to hang up his most prized possession – his footy shorts. It’s the little things !
