Jackie’s Travel Diary: Holiday planning tips

Day dreaming about holidays, but don’t know where to begin? I know that sometimes the planning can be difficult and it’s enough to put you off. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions!

What kind of holiday are you looking for? Do you want a summer holiday complete with long walks along the beach? Do you want to be active on your holiday playing sports or participating in an activity? Do you want your holiday to be all about food and wine and over indulgence?

I am pleased to announce that WorldMark South Pacific Club has just created a fantastic holiday planning tool to help you find your destination and make it fun along the way!

The beauty about this website is that it has been designed to suggest resort locations based on activities, popular attractions, up-coming events or future occasions plus recommended dining options in the local region! You will be questioning how you ever survived without this informative and inspiring holiday assistant.

Let’s say you are like me and you don’t know where to go next.

This nifty little tool is a process of elimination and starts out asking which country you may want to travel to within the WorldMark South Pacific Club Resorts.

Next step is a great feature focusing on what kind of experience you are looking for on your holiday. The selection is varied enough to have something for everyone from beach, hinterland, golf, winery, city, shopping to even bird watching! And that is just naming a few!

After deciding which holiday best suits your needs then it provides you with a comprehensive list of things to see and do in that region, best food and wine choices, recommendations from other travellers and suggested itineraries. To help you in this planning process there is detailed and very useful information about how to get to the resort, e.g. directions and distance from major city centres and airports.

I would also encourage you to use the event calendar. This highlights future exciting and popular events that may just entice you to getaway and combine the event with your getaway. Events that I would love to attend are things like, Opera in the vineyards at the Hunter Valley, The sculpture festival on the Gold Coast or the Springfest in Ballarat. You might just be pleasantly surprised to see an event that interests you!

Interior of Fiji

Make sure you check out the photo gallery, that is my personal favourite! I love flicking through these images peering inside the interior of the room types and checking out what they look like.

I hope you enjoy using this tool as much as I do.

Happy holidays!
