For my last RCI module I am going to share with you some awesome extras WorldMark South Pacific Club Owners also have access to; which you may not have known about. Advertisements
Like eating our veggies and going to the gym, sometimes we contrary human beings have been known to resist what is good for us. And that includes taking holidays. I’m one of the worst offenders – and I have a litany of really justifiable reasons excuses for not taking time off. Perhaps you have some of these too? Let’s investigate some of the top excuses for not taking your hard earned holiday and see if we can’t resolve them!
Now that we have got the basics of RCI down, we can continue our learning journey with some more practical information.
Australia is a land of big skies, big horizons and big dreams. Capturing that ‘big sky’ feeling is what we seek on our holidays, lunch breaks, weekend picnics and afternoon strolls. Gifting ‘big sky’ experiences to our family and children is what we dream of, and is totally priceless. Some of the biggest ‘big skies’ I’ve experiences have been at the very edge of Australia’s Victorian coastline. Breathtaking cliffs run down into the icy, clear, crisp water of the Great […]

So, how are people celebrating the shortest day this year? Winter festivities are taken to a whole new level with Dark MOFO, hosted by MONA in Hobart. Music, movies, amazing food & drink – and of course – top off the 2 Degree evening with the […]

The older I get, the more I realise just how much of life is taking the experiences and memories of my yesterdays, making them work for me today, in order to impact my tomorrows. I can see this probably more easily with the negatives, the hurts, disappointments, failures and concerns of my yesterdays – directly impacting the way I have shied away from relationships, played it safe when considering risks, and questioning my ability and worth in situations and positions. Negatives from yesterday […]

I’ve heard it said that the human body is 50-60% water, and so (to me at least) it just makes sense that when we’re looking for relaxation, serenity, adventure or just a ‘spot’ to rest so many of us gravitate to water. Be it the sounds of crashing waves, the thundering of a waterfall or the quiet trickling of a brook as it bubbles its way down a rocky mountain stream… my link to water is an untenable truth, you […]

In 1939 Oswald (Ossie to his mates), aged 16 and too young to officially enlist in the armed forces, joined the militia and headed to Papua New Guinea. As a Sapper, Ossie dug trenches, laid tarmac down for roads and helped clear undergrowth for the advancing Australian Army – but when the Japanese made their major offensive for Port Morseby in September of 1942, with the loss of many allied soliders lives, Ossie was enlisted in the field to take […]

You might be missing out on something, a tucked away gem, a road less travelled – I know I was! As a Queenslander, when traveling to Victoria I never thought to venture far from Melbourne. I stayed near the city, and never thought much about what lay beyond its bounds. When recently I took a few days off to recharge my batteries, not just rest – but that true recharge of my creative side, the side that sees wonder and […]

Whether you’re a ‘relaxing by the pool’ kind of holidayer, or a ‘get up and go’ person, Sunshine Coast QLD has something for everyone! Last fortnight, we based ourselves at Marcoola Beach for a weekend getaway with friends. Why Marcoola? Marcoola Beach isn’t too commercialised, the resorts are situated right on the beach, and you’re only a short 1hr 30mins drive from Brisbane, or a few minutes by car from Sunshine Coast Airport. In other words – perfect for an […]

Last week I was in Perth doing Education sessions for our wonderful WorldMark South Pacific Club Owners. Whilst there I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to head over to Rottnest Island with my Dad, and can I say – what a beautiful destination to travel to!!!
Yesterday I was reading a story about a young mother who sparked a ‘pay-it-forward’ storm of goodwill, by offering to bake a pie for a family in need once a week, and I was prompted/convicted/encouraged to see where in my life I can make a small change, which could start a small (maybe not quite Tropical Cyclone Dylan size!) storm of heartfelt warm fuzzies So I scribbled down my ‘pledge of small things’ for twenty-14 This year I pledge to […]
